With a foundation built over two decades of hands-on experience—and formal client work since 2018—I bring both lived experience and clinical insight to canine nutrition.

My journey began with my first dog, a Dalmatian, who struggled with persistent skin issues that commercial kibble couldn’t resolve. Like many dog parents, I didn’t start with a perfectly balanced plan—I experimented, made mistakes, and tried a variety of approaches in an effort to help her.

But even with those early, imperfect changes, I began to notice meaningful improvements when fresh foods were introduced—better skin, improved muscle condition, and increased vitality.

Having always had a strong interest in my own nutrition, it felt intuitive that my dog could benefit from less processed, more thoughtfully chosen foods as well.

That experience led me to dig deeper- not just into fresh feeding, but into how to do it properly, safely, and in a way that supports long-term health.

Experience That Goes Beyond Theory

Long before fresh feeding became widely discussed, I was immersed in it.

In 2005, I opened one of Calgary’s first specialty dog stores focused on raw and fresh diets. Over nearly a decade in retail, I worked closely with dog parents who were exploring alternatives to conventional feeding and looking for guidance on incorporating fresh foods.

That experience gave me valuable insight into the questions, challenges, and real-life constraints dog owners face when trying to feed their dogs better.

From there, I continued to deepen my knowledge through mentorship, ongoing study, and hands-on experience—refining an approach that bridges science and real-life feeding.

A Thoughtful, Individualized Approach to Canine Nutrition

Not all dogs thrive on the same diet—and that’s where many approaches fall short.

Through mentorship with Monica Segal—a respected author and pioneer in canine diet formulation—and years of hands-on case work, I’ve supported dogs with a wide range of health concerns, including:

• Liver, kidney, and heart disease

• Gastrointestinal issues and colitis

• Food intolerances and sensitivities

• Urinary stones

• Cancer support

My approach isn’t built on trends or strict feeding rules—it’s built on what works for the individual dog in front of me.

Formulated with NRC Standards — Designed for Real Life

Every diet I create is built using National Research Council (NRC) guidelines, ensuring nutritional completeness over time—not just in theory, but in practice.

This means your dog’s plan is:

• Nutritionally balanced based on established science

• Tailored to their specific health needs and life stage

• Designed with flexibility and real-life sustainability in mind

Because a diet only works if you can actually follow it.
